London: Smith, Elder and Co., 1851-53. First printing. Wonderful three-volume set of Ruskin's exemplary treatise on Venetian architecture. All volumes first editions, with Vol 1 printed in 1851 and the subsequent two printed in 1853. Some scuffs to leather boards, but overall a very good exterior. Gilded top stains in excellent condition. Ex libris to inside cover on all three volumes. No foxing, clean interiors and all 53 plates present. Pristine (for their age) copies of a set that's difficult to find in the US. Very good. Item #3148
